Nude Continuum

Nude Continuum was a project band formed by producer James Higgins and vocalist Princess Freesia in 2006 in Queensland, Australia. During the process of producing their one and only album Nightclub of the Nudist James and Freesia came into contact with Derrick Mckenzie from Jamiroquai who offered to collaborate with them on songwriting, remixing and session drumming for their songs.
After completion of the album and its launch in March 2008, James and Freesia formed the Nude Continuum live show with four of their favourite session musicians. With this new ensemble working to arrange and rehearse the live show, the duo planned their first international tour to the UK and Europe.
After months of planning the band left Australia to commence their tour of Western Europe. However, upon arrival at London Heathrow, tragedy struck. UK Immigration refused the band entry to the country and the band was forced to return on the next plane back to Australia after 7 hours in a detention cell.
The ordeal in London threatened to derail the entire act, but some amazing news arrived that forced the band to get back on the next plane to Europe they were selected to perform at Tobit Softwares Nightclubbing Festival in Germany, supporting the Brand New Heavies and Jamiroquai for an audience of 10,000.
The band pulled together and returned to Europe to complete the Switzerland, Netherlands and Germany leg of the tour and performed at Tobit.Nightclubbing in Ahaus. That was their last public performance before Princess Freesia left the act to pursue her solo career (www.myspace.com/therainbowride).
The critically acclaimed studio debut Nightclub of the Nudist is still available to purchase now on iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, AmazonMP3 and all your favourite online MP3 stores, as well as through the website of the new incarnation of the act: soulcontinuum.com.
The band continues as Soul Continuum with James Higgins now the lead vocalist. With a much more live, funk influenced sound (less house and electronic vibes), Soul Continuum have launched their new album “Phoenix to Fox” and are already touring Australia, and soon the world.
